SARA  B. ARMAND, O.D.

Dr. Sara Bordelon Armand was born and raised in Cottonport, LA. She graduated from Bunkie High School in 1998. From there, she attended Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge where she received her Bachelor of Science in Zoology in 2002.

In 2006, Dr. Armand received her Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. During her studies at Southern College of Optometry, Dr. Armand completed externships at the Memphis VA hospital focusing on primary care optometry and eye disease. She also completed an externship with Dr. Peter Benvenuto in Bartlett, TN focusing on primary care optometry and contact lenses.

In June 2006, Dr. Armand began working as an associate doctor at LaCombe Eye Center in Lafayette, LA. In January 2022, Dr. Armand purchased the practice from Dr. LaCombe, and now operates as Armand Eye Care.

Dr. Armand is therapeutically certified and is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Optometric Association of Louisiana, and the South Central Louisiana Optometric Society.

Specialty areas of practice: general eye care, contact lenses, eye disease management (including glaucoma, dry eye, conjunctivitis, foreign body removal), and interdisciplinary consultations.

Dr. Armand is married to Cade Armand, also of Cottonport and has two children Jonah and Aubrey.

​In 1995, LaCombe Eye Center was established by Dr. Rick  LaCombe and is still at its original location.  In 2022, the practice was purchased by Dr. Sara Armand and is now known as Armand Eye Care.
